Yule Party Is Held by Lions
Arrangements Are Made For Winter Frolic

Christmas music and exchange of gifts provided the program at the luncheon of the Lions yesterday in the Hotel Hilton. Feature of the entertainment were vocal numbers by Miss Marion Ottow with Miss Katherine Simeral at the piano.

Announcements dealing with the 10th annual Mid-Winter Frolic to be sponsored by the club Dec. 30 and 31 at Riverside park lagoon were made by C. S. Renier, general chairman. If weather does not permit holding the event as scheduled, it will be postponed until the following weekend, Renier said.

Members of the club who will assist Renier and Lawrence Krueger, Rock county WPA recreational director, and his staff at the lagoon, Dec. 30 are: Berger Engebretson, Henry Helm, Andy Anderson, George Blakely, corner judges; Cyril Uber, Walter Curtright, Louis E. Means, finish judges; Frank Normington, Otis Ross, T. M. Collins, timers; and John Kasbeer and Geroge A. Clark, scorers.

John Stanton, Holly Lepley, Russell Mason, George Whitford, Floyd Dunnick and W. C. Kepplinger will have charge of sledding, skiing and tobogganing Dec. 31 at the Municapal golf course.

Other club committees are Carl Yagla, George Whitford, Lester Gunderson and Merritt R. Bach, public address; Fred Morgan, John Stanton, Floyd Furman and Joe Peet, shelter; Ed Krueger, Alec Yager, Floyd Plankey, lighting; Russell Hackler, Cyril Uber and Henry Helm, organization, and Earl Van Lone, Burdette Larson, Kenneth Germann and Frank Normington, prizes.

Members of Krueger’s staff are Gordon Anderson, hockey chairman; C. S. Renier and Marty Redmond, figure skating; Arthur Kutz tobogganing; Erling Ellingson, skiing; Harold Sostad, sledding; Krueger, clerk of the court, also will direct skating with Fred Wootton, chief judge, Harold Delaney, starter, Don Torphy, clerk of the office, and Harry Wintermute, announcer.

Events will be for all age groups and 72 prizes will be awarded to winners, Renier announced. Fancy Skating and hockey games will feature evening programs.
